Gordon Maybury is the executive chef of the PGA National Resort & Spa (400 Avenue of the Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
Chef Maybury’s résumé includes stints at Michelin-starred restaurants throughout Europe and big-time hotels in the U.S. and Caribbean. Maybury has worked in restaurants for 24 of his 40 years and "it still doesn't feel like a job."
A native of Dublin Ireland, Maybury arrived in Miami in March of 2007 to take over the role as the Executive Chef of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, a 4 star, 4 diamond resort in the heart of trendy South Beach. At Loews Maybury was in charge of all culinary aspects of the 790-room resort including Preston’s Brasserie, the new Sushi SoBe, Nautilus Bar & Grill, room service and all banquet functions.
Maybury’s long list of prior positions includes Executive Chef at the 5 star Peninsula Hotel New York, Executive banquet chef at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City and chef de cuisine at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Resort in the Cayman Islands.
He was selected to participate in the Lufthansa Airlines Starchef program from November through December 2006 where Maybury was responsible for creating a menu of gourmet meals for flights to and from Germany.
Maybury’s work has prompted prominent publications such as Forbes, Sunday Post, Food Arts, San Diego Tribune,Traditional Home and Healing Lifestyles to feature Maybury and select recipes from his various chef positions.
